The weather is having a cold -
A severe flu;
It blows its nose
Onto the tissue
Of a white sky,
Dispersing snowflakes everywhere.
It coughs in spouts of swirling wind
And leaves a dizzying flurry as it goes.
Tall trees stand nakedly poised
As they’re showered in icy spouts.
Everything is cancelled and closed,
This wintry moving imagery captivates,
It offers an entrancing pause.
Clouds of smoky-white powder
Fall onto silent streets –
Gentle at first, then deliberate -
A winterscape of silent, monochromatic dreams.
